Room 7 Visit to Hornby Pasifika Preschool.

We walked next door and performed Samoan Sasa, and some songs in Te reo Māori and Samoan. The children sang along with us sometimes.
We had the chance to play afterwards together and explore all the fantastic play and learning equipment at the preschool.
All the children were great role models and enjoyed entertaining and playing with the younger children.

Assembly!

It was Team 2's Assembly this week!
The children did a fabulous job of there 'Growing Plants' play.

Canterbury Swim School Update

Today was our last day of swimming at Canterbury Swim School. We will miss all our fabulous teachers there!

Today we practiced water safety. We practiced floating on our backs, and how to save someone from the side of the pool.

Our Writing!

Together in team 2 we are each growing our own 'Little Garden' plants. We look after them and watch each day for them to grow a little more.
Last term in Room 6 we wrote some information reports. This week we decided to do the same and write an information report for our 'Little Garden' plants.

Here are some of the information reports we have written.

Our learning so far in Term 4

Room 7 - Sharing our writing in a book and as a movie!

Room 7 made a book in Term one about animals.
We describe the animal and the reader has to guess what it is.
We had also painted and drawn the animals.
Then we shared our book with other classes.  The children were very proud of their book.
Now we have put our book onto book creator to share with more people.
We could share it around the world!!

                                        WHO AM I?

Swimming Lessons at Canterbury Swim School.

After our first week of swimming lessons everyone has improved so much!  Most students are floating on their front and back, swimming with kick boards and practising arm circles.  Everyone is happy swimming with their head under the water now!!
